We do not get to see many early '57 GT's with Black Plastics here, so I thought Members here might enjoy seeing this Mint example.

Quite a few of us here love GT's. ;) :D

This was previously owned by INXS's Bass Player, Gary Beers, when Dom bought this in Sydney. He then ended up selling it & using the money to buy the 1960 Burst.

The Guitar was well under 9lbs & one of his favorites, he's often told me this was arguably his nicest playing / sounding Les Paul, with the only change being a refret with larger frets many years prior to him buying it.

You'll also notice the BRW Board is not the often misquoted "black" color.

He actually mentioned last night that he'd love to buy it back but the person who bought it from him paid absolute top $$$ & that price is no longer relevant in today's market.

Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I do.

Gorgeous! And what a mint condition.
I prefer a cream parts one, but I wouldn't mind this one of course :naughty:

I still don't understand all the different combinations of back plates... but I guess there is no general rule.
Majority I've seen were cream parts/brown plates and black parts/black plates, but again, this one is again an exception on the rule.

Very, very nice and Dom must praise himself lucky to have had all these beauties to play with...

Big thanks for posting and to Dom for letting you

Nice:wow:! Thanks for sharing. Those even colored dark chocolate brown vintage boards are due more to decades of use, dirt, UV, and boiled linseed oil, etc than lack of grain patterns IMHO.

Yep, very early non-stickers PAF’s from memory. Not sure if there are any pics though but it is definitely one of the very early ones mate.
