Don’t play a historic, USA binding on LP’s will feel off afterwards. Luckily I haven’t played a historic SG, so my USA SG can rest easy.

My 2010 Gibson DC doesn't have the neck binding, but it does have a Ebony fret-board. Worth the difference to me.

I prefer binding on my guitars, a Les Paul just doesn't look right without it.

I love bit of "bling" on my guitars - binding, nice inlays and nibs are a part of that. A bound guitar just looks classy to me.
On the neck and fret ends the binding is a comfort feature to me, it just feels nicer.

I like guitars with and without binding.
But if I could choose, I would go without.

Id rather have a beautiful piece of wood showing, than plastic...

Can't do a Studio. Couldn't do a 335 without neck binding. Can't do a Special without neck binding. Can't do a Tele with body binding. Ok with my D28.

I cant justify having to pay more for a guitar with binding. I have a 2018 Les Paul tribute that sounds and plays wonderfully.

I never thought it mattered, but it does. I prefer binding.

That said, there are some gorgeous non-bound Lesters out there, I'm just a traditionalist in the asthetics department.

Although I have nothing bad to say against my 2 beautifully sounding LP studios, I prefer bindings.

That's part of what makes a music instrument into a beautiful piece of art.

I'd like to have a bound LP, I just haven't used the necessary funds to buy one. A J-29 is my only guitar with a bound body, top and back.
A bound Tele is too "Nashville" for me.

I think it adds to the look. Really like a well done binding.

Plus - my playing is still on a level where I benefit from seeing the fret markers and they contrast nicely against the lighter binding. Actually had some problem with that on my rosewood fretboard Strat where markers and fretboard blended too much in low light.
