Body shape done, it's time to route binding channel. pin router technique-template on the back of the body. dreamy curves dictate not to daydream when doing this, one must be careful at router and follow closely the grain of wood. sharp spiral router bit is essential for clean work.

This time for binding i'm using some pretty old cellulose acetate plastic. nice material to work with, firstly it's soaked in acetone to become more like rubber, than glue which is made of the same plastic (dust is mixed with acetone about 1:1) is apllied on the plastic and binding channel with the small brush.

And that's all for the day. More daydreaming soon....

Rubber like cellulose acetate goes brittle overnight, means it's harder than it was before treatment. pics from ugly to beautiful, it's magic :naughty:

That's a beautiful design, well done. I can't wait to see what you'll do with the headstock.

Oversized maybe? Fender round on the end? :hmm:

I am curious to hear the story on how you came up with that body shape. :)

Few solutions ala Gretsch, set in long tenon ala LP but there is no neck angle, ala fender bender.

Gretsch minibucker leaned just for the sense of proportion, this is not big guitar.

workplace spirit..., yup they call me mr.organisation and i firmly believe that world and creativity came out of perfect chaos

what to do next? pickup routing, fretting, many boring hours of fine sanding and then taking drugs aka nitro lacquering
    cheers
