Dead/Muted Note at 16th Fret

    Yes, take it to a pro. Don't mess with the frets or the truss rod. Something like this is no big deal so let a tech sort it out. Frets are always best left to experts.

    It always comes from nowhere !
    My Ibanez has been playing like butter then suddenly got some buzz at an area which I rarely play it.. it is a 13 years old guitar but not played much.. had to have some fret leveling and it is fine now... However, for a 1 year R8, i would compromise action for not messing with frets !

    What @BBD said.

    Fixing a popped fret it's a easy peasy job for a pro, but could end in a mess with some DIY...
