I like to browse the used bins at Long & McQuade. I spied a somewhat massive, bright blue pedal for $99. It was an immaculate Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Mosfet. After a quick search on my phone and finding mostly good things about it (and at a better price than anything on Reverb) I bought it. I'm not home right now so I'll plug it in soon. Did I do good?

I Put an offer on a Fulltone Fatboost 3 at midnight, its in the US and cost $35 to post here to OZ, i offered $45... bugger took it... and i promised myself id not go fulltone after a bad customer service experience...

I am sooo weak to that mysterious sound realm. Still... itching to put it through the Mesa which seems to dig low end boosting and i love a good FET circuit :dude:

I plugged into the FD2 and then right into my mixer. Right channel looped into a Red Box DI and cab sim into the left channel. It's a terrific OD and boost.

You did extremely well. I bought a new one while on a trip to the only States because they are so cheap for a boutique pedal. $119 I paid at a Guitar Centre. Would've cost me a small fortune if had bought one in Australia. I had absolutely no need for another OD pedal but have no regrets having an FD2 MOSFET in my collection.

I guess you'll know if you 'did good' when you hear the pedal with your guitar and amp. I hope that you like it:)

You have most of the bad habits or most of the overdrive pedals?

Mostly the bad habits, but still a good number of overdrive pedals.
