    In your local Craigslist, type:
    +Gibson|epiphone +repair|repaired|crack|cracked|broke|broken|glue|glued|project|parts -piano

The "|" character tells CL to search for all listings that contain ANY of the words. So if you 'decode" my search, it looks for any listing with "gibson" or "Epiphone", that contains the other keyworrds, that isn't a "piano"

    Then click "include nearby areas".

That's how I find $35 Epiphones. Or $30 Epis. Or right now, there is an ebony board Gibson SG, with a repaired headstock for $399:

This was my first time stripping an Epi:

I never even removed the pickups or electronics. I wish I hadn't sold that one.

Modding is fun. There is a lot you can do with parts and paint. keep in mind, the resale value approaches zero. I doubt I could sell my white Custom for $200. Not that I'd want to.

Totally aware on the resale factor! I don't plan on getting rid of my Epiphones, these are totally going to be my guitars because that's why I'm modding them to my liking lol. Like I said.. I don't feel as bad in doing so when it comes to them because it's cheaper and they do have a fairly good quality of playability. I've never done something like this before so I'm paranoid in doing this but I am definitely curious in trying this with a goldtop when I get one

Wow dude I finally just got to see how you got there. It's incredible. Dude I would pay you to do this to one of my guitars, it seems like you really took a lot of time on this and it came out gorgeous. SUPER Credit to you for this. That's really sick dude.
