    That's some of the worst work I've seen in a long time. It looks like some of the frets aren't even in straight, let alone the poor quality of the board, binding and fret work in general.

    There's so much wrong that imo the person who did this should not only be refunding you, but also paying for you to take it to somebody who can re-do the fretboard and fix all the finish damage caused.

    Good luck getting your guitar playable again.

    Original condition before I sent it:

    I was refunded my 50% down payment of $250, still just a fraction of what I paid for it except now its unplayable; Cant intonate and even with sky high action theres still fret buzz and dead notes. Its hard to picture but the binding isnt even with the board radius. I'm open to recommendations or anyone reputable here who wants to take this on as a project.
    Edit;
    Integrity check to James. You can salvage some of your credibility;
    1: Buy this guitar for what I paid for it
    2: Cover the cost of repairs
    3: Find a stock bodied LQ and switch it out for this

    At this point it makes no financial sense sending it to BCR Greg or any other luthier.

    It's a nice guitar and sometimes we will spend 'more than it's worth' for a guitar thats special to us. I will agree though, Mrbeef screwed the pooch HARD on this and has really put the owner behind over a barrel here. By the time a pro fixes it it will have the monetary value of nothing, and the expense of a real gibson custom.

    What a mess.

    Mr Beef should just pick the guitar and give the guy the money for its orginal value, and move on. This is the best solution for everyone's sake and credibility.

    It's easy, it's quick and it's a karma reset.

    I agree. Mr. Beef owes Evo8 an Epi Custom in the same condition as the one that was sent to him.

    OP, do you mind sharing the amount Mr. Beef charged for his "service"?

    Doesn't matter if its "just an epiphone" or a historic. He needs to be held accountable for his actions. Hell, hes still a sponsor that continues to offer services here. What I got back is nothing more than firewood.

    I have to say I personally think it reflects very badly on the forum that he allowed to advertise on here and is still allowed to be a supporter of it. What does it say about the place we are if one member is allowed to do this to another member and is still allowed to be associated with it.

    IMO it stinks!!

    I just decided I'm a luthier...at least for the next year maybe longer. Just PM me for the address to send your guitar and money to. I've got a killer tool set and my mom has an clothes iron I can borrow.
