Alright, here's one that doesn't suck...sorry. :) I had flowers delivered for every day of the week, each with one part of a message on the card. 7 days later, complete message.

Craziest "for her:" Well I cooked a luau for almost 100 people for her birthday last night, but I think it would have to be when my wife ran her first marathon.

She had been a runner in school, captain of the cross-country team and all, but gave it up when work and the party life interfered. After we married, she decided to get back into it and train for a marathon. I'm not sure why, but she decided to run one in Rhode Island where I was born and still have some family even though I haven't lived there in many years.

After she was all set to go, she had some regret that she wasn't running locally because she wouldn't have any friends cheering her on or greeting her at the finish. I made up a shirt that said "Go D---" (her name) so people chould cheer her on.

Then the night before I photocopied the shirt front and had 80 copies laminated and went out at 3AM and stapled them to telephone poles along the route.

Everybody knew who she was by the time she finished.

I put up with heavy drug abuse of all imaginable kinds, bad lsd trips, fall down drunk alcoholism, stolen car, almost being charged with kidnapping along with being kicked out of school and her having a questionable relationship with her female best friend. That last part I was actually ok with. :thumb:

Looking back I must have loved that girl to put up with it all. It makes for great stories though.

Gave up going to college at NYU (partial scholarship), Baylor (full paid), George Washington University (partial), and Tulane (full paid) to go to a local private school so that we could get married....

best decision ever, in my opinion.

Craziest thing I ever did was propose.

That said, she accepted and we've been married 31 years in August.
