Am I the only one getting wet in the pants over these?

Poplar body, mahogany neck (bolt on).

Ok so its going to need better tuners, a fret job and probably the neck pocket cleaning up but the potential as a modding platform is immense. Its single-ply strat style so you can put any sort of pickup configuration in it. $99 for a full size completely modular guitar that doesn't look like gash from a brand I trust.

    Stoked!!! Ordered 3 lol.

depends on the body routing, but I'm curious to get my hands on one. I like the sunburst/black model. Did you really order 3? :laugh2::thumb:

Looking at the way they've covered the pups (odd shape!) it seems almost as if they want you to be able to fit humbuckers or minis. Either way can just cut a new ply cover to suit whatever you fancy. I'm wondering what a tele style bridge would sound like without a neck pup on that wrap around. *drool

I did indeed order three. I'm going to have a double "Wide Range" humbucker one, a telecaster style one without a neck pickup and a Townsend style one with two minis and a super distortion in the middle lol. I'll put numbers on them like Pete did .. :)

Might even need four to do a firebird style one.

Only if the routes are big enough, I'll wait until I see a photo of the body without the pickguard before I order 3 of them, maybe you'll be kind enough to post some pics for us :thumb:

Yeah sure will. They're on pre-order as they don't ship till mid Sept. Given its a $99 guitar I don't think I'll be too precious about routing it for different pickups if necessary. :dude:

I'm not too interested in re-routing myself, but if the guitars are good enough, build-wise, I'd like to get one. If there's enough space, I will definitely go full humbucker,. If not, I'll get some rails or something. What colors did you get?

    Turquoise x 3. :)

    Inspiration for No.1:

P90+Tele definitely gives you a nicely balanced middle position.

I'm expecting mine in three weeks time. If nobody beats me to it, I'll strip it down to component parts and photograph it all etc.

I only checked part of this video, however noticed that this guy has reflectors and his TRC reads "Olympic". Is this something he mentions at any point?

Yah, I noticed 'Olympic' on the truss rod cover and the reflector knobs too. Perhaps it is a prototype demo unit that has been tweaked a bit for better show and performance, to generate more anticipation and excitement and pre-sales. Hopefully it's not a bait-and-switch ploy. Those pickups did sound a bit too good for a $99 price point guitar...:hmm:

While quickly scrolling online, that sunburst finish looks like a melody maker.
