Well tour isn't the word I guess. 4 dates. I'm going to Madison Square Garden no matter what it cost me. Been wanting to get out of Wisconsin and head back to NYC for the first time in 20 years anyway so what better reason. I know he has a lot of hatred on guitar threads but I'm excited. My dad used to play cream and Eric for me growing up. Never thought I'd get a chance.

Shhh. Take it down, less competition for tickets.

I'mhoping to get to MSG too. Tickets could be a nightmare, but I don't plan to miss it. Not sure whether to try for both nights.

You too. I'm willing to lay out whatever so if it's not what I want the brokers unfortunately will get a sale. I've gotten good seats on bank pre-sale before. Guns and roses last summer in Chicago had awesome seats on citi card pre-sale

You guys trying to buy early release tickets are doing it all wrong. Buy them about an hour before the show starts, at the box office. **Doesnt matter if it's listed as Sold Out.**

Done this Many times, and it almost always gets me seats in the first 10 rows. Not to mention, guaranteeing that you'll get those tickets at face value...not jacked up 3 or 4 times their printed price.

Unfortunately I can't take the chance of traveling from Wisconsin to NYC for a maybe. But I've done what you're talking about

Perfectly understandable. I'd probably hedge my bets and do the same, given the distance that you're traveling. You could also scalp the ones you bought early and look to upgrade at the box office. Probably the way I would handle it.

when I saw g n'r I paid about $180 for my ticket. stage left, two sections over, two sections up. my friend paid $150 for his and he was all the way in the very back of the stadium.

if you are going by your self it is much easier to find individual tickets cheaper after they release to the general public.

    You're right about that!
When you want something that bad, you really go for it.
As I often say, money is money and up to a point, can be replaced.
But experiences and memories are unique and can't be replaced
or worked harder for after the fact.

    Just go for it!

P.S.: I "used to" like Clapton!

I sometimes wonder why the bigger musicians dont tour over in my town (a small hole with aprox 5-7k people in it) :D

That way, i would have a chance to see them IRL and hear the glorious sounds!

PS, i missed some Tommy Emmanuel ticket once.. i still regret it..!

at this point I find it doubtful. with his skin condition and his age it seems like he feels like he is doing as much as he can as it is.

I think it would be cool to see him but I wouldn't even call myself a casual fan. I like a few cream songs, some bluesbreaker stuff and some of his later stuff but not much.

he and david gilmour both probably share the same sentiment; old man tour, if you want to see him, you're going to have to go to him.

Can you blame them? They've paid their dues, many times over. Clapton doesn't need the money, and probably likes being home.

I've seen Clapton a bunch of times, going back to '82. He's a fantastic performer. Too bad he doesn't have Albert Lee with him...
