    Ever read his site?

Lots and LOTS of missinformation, not to mention he was caught relabeling OLP EBMM's as USA made EBMM's.

do a search on TGP sometime...

I met Ed a few times at shows & he seems fine to me ,. He inherited a farm which he sold for a bundle & bought a few thousand guitars & also supports many small builders . He rants his opinions but he also bowls to no one & he reveals lots of secrets cause he is not scared of no one ...think it is the biker blood in him   Plus he is a custom guitar empire anything you want ED can do it ......for a Price

I also find Ed to be always on the cutting edge pushing to the next level ( more anti-vintage)

From the Music and Sound retailer...(industry rag)
    Email update I recieved today.

    MORE BREAKING BUZZ
    Roman Guitars Closing
(Port Washington, NY - June 14, 2007) Las Vegas-based Ed Roman Guitars, known as “The World’s Largest Guitar Store,” began liquidating its assets on June 13. This comes six months after Roman sold the business to a company operating area car dealerships. According to Roman, nine employees were let go in May, followed by 13 more on June 13. Roman believes a car dealership will replace his store, due to the potential for more profits.
“I want everyone to know I’ll be back and everything will be made whole,” said Roman. “I am in the process of buying my name back. I didn’t sign any non-compete clause, so I hope to reopen a store, although it won’t be as large as my last one.”
According to Roman, his potential new store would also open in the Las Vegas area.

Roman has a really bad reputation Flick. Besides the EBMM fiasco, he was also caught re-topping PRS guitars. That one lost him his PRS dealer status long ago. Want another? He bought the Baker name from Gene Baker when Baker went under and started selling guitars that looked the same but were built overseas. He spouts untruths and mis-information at every opportunity. And yeah, he's closing, but he'll open another shop, mark my words.

"The Reason I know approximately what it costs to build a Les Paul is because I have been building guitars for 15 years. I am a pretty good cost analyst and the guitars in the picture above were all sold to me at a base price of $660.00 from Heritage. Heritage must be making a profit on that. Furthermore Heritage only makes a total of 6 guitars a day. I would bet that Gibson is building hundreds of guitars daily. And I am positive that Gibson is paying a lot less than Heritage to make a Guitar." about how it is :naughty:
