Can anybody explain suspended chords to me?

    Well it's a good thing no one said they did!

    If you reread my last two posts, you'll see that I was writing about dim7s, min7b5s, and dom7s (all of which do have a tritone), and not sus chords.

    Your eagerness to correct others is unbecoming.

    Well, you said "all of the chords we're discussing right now have a tritone in them" (my emphasis).

    Of course, I missed the "right now", by which I guess you meant the diversion from the original topic of the thread into dim7s, m7b5s, etc.

    I didn't intend to correct you - I'm sure you know sus chords don't have tritones :) - only offering clarification, in case any less knowledgeable reader was baffled. But you're right I'm often too eager to offer corrections... ;)

    Yeah, the "we're discussing right now" was a detail deliberately added for exactly this reason.
