John I don't make any prescriptions for anybody else I guess I am just lazy that way. I enjoyed that Eats shoots and leaves book.
Sentence construction is important of course and again I am not as diligent with that either as I should be or as others would like. I do not like the notion that some ones ideas should be dismissed for the lack of punctuation or unorthodox delivery. Jude the Obscure by Thomas Hardy is my example of the sort of prejudice I feel can be perpetuated by marginalising those who can not comply with the conventions set down by the powers that be.
Discrimination against regional accents for instance is to me all part of the same control mechanisms acting subtly to create artificial hierarchical and elite structures.
I don´t find you question at all offensive its a valid point well made.

Why would some one who has the courtesy to respond to questions and make clear any differences of opinions disturb you so much?

My answer was more amusing, LOL! Besides, you said the same thing.

That being said, you're not lazy with verbiage. :)

Tim, you will not from the highly amusing tags that the original video is somewhat devisive.
Guitar polishing like pigeon fancying divides those who do from those who just talk about it. Constructive criticism is a valuable and sincere contribution to anybody's learning. Cheap shots are projections of personal inadequacies quite outside of any natural or inherent quality in the marksmans own abilities.
I am starting another thread with the original songs I have posted on you tube
and look forward to some further mirth from the anonymous and indeed also the folks who vent their spleen without hiding behind assumed names and with also practical examples of their own approaches and indeed level of competence.

Kim here, ambassador of HARMONY and good WILL, in an effort to BUILD BRIDGES over the treacherous currents of cyberSPACE. Reach OUT, good people!!!

I'm not ashamed to say that I'm feeling a little gloOomy today, although the SuN is shining.

But how could I be content? Roger is unhappy with me. He even called me names. MEAN names. :( That's a bitter, bitter pill to SWALLOW, and Kim has never been the type of girl who...but enough about that!

At first I was ANGRY, But then I realized THAT I was on the WRONG path.

And then I realized that we were ALL on the WRONG path.

WE use our MINDS too much;;;; WE use our EARS too much.

Sadly, however, WE were not LISTENING.

NOW I finally understand this. Roger, you have shown ME the WAY, and I will never use my MIND or MY ears again, FOR as the BUDDHA asked:

"Can one really hear three hands clapping in the forest?"

HOw silly & stupid I WAS!!!!!! But NOw I HEAR YOU, Roger!! NOW I Am LISTENING<<<<

And you NEVER sounded SO GOOD!!!!!

That video pretty much exemplifies why I don't dig modal stuff too much. The entire song was really busy except for the modal licks which stood out so much that there was no context and it didn't sound musical.

It's hidden better here and wonderfully musical.

I need to try this sometime.....

Maybe I'll book a lecture at an incredibly advanced math symposium even though long division slows me down.....

But then when people are like "why are you teaching, you have NO business AT ALL doing this".... I will just let loose with some nonsensical pseudo babble that's completely long-winded and deranged. That'll teach em.

Something like, "Excuse me good Sirs, but didn't Chatsworth teach us not that giving oneself entirely to a cause can have far reaching consequences if for not one has but if one seeks?"

Chatsworth is my Cat by the way.

A guitar site with a difference I heartily recommend especially for Bob Dylan Fans.

Things Twice. The Guitar in 2 Weeks course is fantastic for those with a more reading centred learning approach.
    Heres Day 12 Chords.

things twice » Blog Archive » Guitar in Two Weeks, day 12: Chords, chords, chords

there is a lesson on Jodi Mitchells numbering system for fingerpicking patterns whcih I found amazingly helpful YMMV.
