I run logic, and I am running a head through a Rivera rockcrusher and out from that into my interface. I've read online that it needs a cab sim to sound more realistic. Any recs on free or cheap ones that are worth it?

The best way to go would be an impulse response loader. There are plenty of free ones out there if you search it.
The advantage here is that you can then by Impulse response packs of different cabs, which allows you to find ones that you like to really enables you to fine tune your tone.
There are a bunch of great IR manufactures out there that all do excellent work.
