I have a large collection on my watch list
From where I'm sitting (hunched in the corner of a cluttered room) yours sounds like a very sensible approach...
It's not a competition, Brian
Hey back on topic, this set up works really well.
Have been giving the Burny some time tonight and just seeing how sweet I could get it.
As far as tone there's some very sweet spots on the first channel with the bass and mids down and treble up a bit , both bright and normal. Seems to work well with all pick up positions. Lovely sweet cleans and the gain is nice and filled out. The tone on the clean picks up your flaws but wow the tone is a knock out! The only slight down side is they're a bit microphonic which make it distinctive not harsh so much but give it some spanky bite! For a rough and ready LP copy I really like it. It seems to like being played gently, doing this yields the most awesome tone. If I try and bash it it just reverberates and goes fuzzy. Weighs a ton too!
Another electric or two might be nice!
