Nice, but every detail, right down to hide glue, celluiod inlays, brazilian rosewood, slanted tailpiece, kluson single line tuners, vintage truss rod, without condom, and so on? I see it DOES have pointed inlays.

All kidding aside, it is freakin' gorgeous!!

I know they made a few BOTB replicas, but did they ever make more than ONE of any particular example? Like did they make more than one Brockburst or Stanleyburst etc?

Why, Mike, are you thinking it's too low or too high?

    ...I'm thinking it's over-priced by 10k at least.

I think the price seems close, maybe $10-$12K, considering the rarity. Plus it is truly a beauty.

Really? People have paid $8-$10K for mid 90s monster tops not long ago!

Yes, Mark. I have one right now, and did own another one a couple of years ago. The Stanleybursts were the most common...maybe a dozen of those were made; the others are more rare, with only maybe 1 or 2 of some models, up to maybe 5 or so at the most produced for some.

As to the $15K asking price, I do think it's a bit much (especially in this market), and I too think it should be more in the $10 - 12K range. If they had a BRW fingerboard, or were Murphy painted in addition to being Murphy aged, then I could see them being up there. That said, I saw this one just minutes after it was listed, and have been salivating ever since!

There is a “story” that goes along with the BOTB guitar series,
but in all honesty, at this point in time it is irrelevant. Because
of the dual serial numbers, and the fact that it’s part of a limited
sub-set, and the aging, I would expect it to sell at a premium.
How much of a premium, in this market remains to be seen.
The guitar is a beauty, and on the right day, to the right buyer,
I think it could bring close to 15K.

That Braz R8 might be going on the auction block..........If you are serious.

That way, I don't have to pay your Loan Shark style of interest........you could just keep it.

True enough. Who knows what the future brings? I suspect things will get better, slowly but surely.
