i was on TGP yesterday and read a thread titled "Best Marshall in a box?"

There were a LOT of replies. But one pedal was touted far more than anything else, and that's the Bogner La Grange. It has a variac toggle and I guess it can dial in all the classic marshal amps, not just 1.

I was pleasantly surprised that it was affordable (around $250 new, $180 used).

Anyone have one? Or tried it?

No...but that's way too many knobs, switches and holes for me !! KISS
I use the Marvel FX with great results.

I prefer all the knobs to customize the tone I want.
I've read its a great pedal.

I hear you. I can't even look at a strymon or chase bliss without getting a headache. This looks fairly simple by comparison, the toggles are easy things like variac on/off, gain low/med/high, presence high/low. Knobs like tone, boost, gain, volume.

Once you have 16 dip switches and 8 knobs, I'm out.

I'm not disputing the greatness of the pedal but rather it's practicality in live performance situations. When you need to change tones what are you gonna do. Get down on your knees and start flipping toggle switches and twirling knobs ? All 9 of 'em ?

I have one, along with an Ecstasy Blue Pedal. Have not tried the La Grange as yet but the Blue is awesome.

    This is a good demo.

Congrats, I had one for awhile. Good pedal but I liked my Catalinbread DLS a little better so I sold the La Grange.

Hold your applause, I never got one, just seeking info. I've never tried the DLS either, but that was popular on the aforementioned thread as well, along with the JHS AT/Angry Charlie.

But neither had the support in numbers or in praise like the la grange. I myself am using the Boss/JHS Angry Driver, which is great for my needs. Ive always heard positive things about the DLS though.
