    The Blues Thread
    [IMG]

Under the context of learning, I though it would be an interesting idea for people to post their (possibly backtracked) personal blues solos. I've never heard two people play the blues the same way ... even if they are both "traditionalist". It would be cool to hear these different styles and chops that others may be interested in picking up on an/or asking about. From a perspective of fodder it would also be cool to see the gear (not recording) that was used to do it. All levels amps/guitar types welcome to those interested. :)

All or most of mine are unrehearsed jams.. I lose feel generally trying to refine things as I used to in studio..and lost the love just chopping things into parts..
    So..glad to help the thread..
1971 Les Paul Custom..into a Pod..then to M Audio M track into Audacity.. I want to convey what I sound like live..
Just gain and some slight effects..

Never been shy..for good or worse.. Play with conviction and make the dam thing yours..
Since I was away for 30 years..I wanted to slow down..and just stream of consciousness one fluid take..just hear/feel as it occurs..so I am surprised as it happens..

Hope the thread brings some more folks.. It what we are..music..

I'm in,, good idea for a thread.
My post.. not exactly a blues progession in strictest sense,, bluesy licks, kind of.
Gear I used,, LP R8,, Marshall Silver Jubilee reissue, 2x12 Marshall cab with greenbacks, Senn E609 microphone & a TC hall of fame reverb pedal.

Dot, I fired up your latest addition to the thread... my wife leans over to my iPad "Are you watching porn?".

    :laugh2:

It gets much less un-porny quickly, though. Rocks out.
