They are immortal.
Or here at MLP today?
In the future, some archaeologist might dig up my remains and be shocked by the sheer size of my nads.
And what, doctoring up photos doesn’t take any time and effort? Do you even photoshop or what?
Google "Cardiff Giant".
It was a very big deal.
It even inspired the now-famous phrase "there's a sucker born every minute".
Sorry, but this is the best meme of all time and I need an excuse to use it once in a while.
That's pretty much how I plan on "checking out".
I ran into a whole group of Bigfoot chasers this past summer in Loudonville, Ohio. Was down there for a daughters softball tournament and got behind them in line at a convenience store. Apparently, that area is a hotspot of activity if that's your thing. Most people just go there to canoe the river that runs through it.
I had some fun with some tattooed twenty-something girls that were part of the search party. Told them that I actually saw Sasquatch at the local golf course. He was spooning with the Easter bunny. My daughter sensed that I may have somehow offended them.
I'm partial to these:
Well that is a sign of the times - literally.
I was thinking more in terms of faked photographs like this famous example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loch_Ness_Monster#"Surgeon's_photograph"_(1934)
Thanks! There is more to the interwebs than google: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=cardiff+giant&t=ffsb&atb=v90-3_b&ia=web
Bigfoot is as real as my future GF.
Wingspan and length are a lot different than height. For instance, a snake could be very very long (the largest on record is about 25 feet), but it couldn't support it's own body weight to "stand" 25 feet high. A snake can only prop itself up a few feet high at the maximum.
I stand by my earlier statements regarding HUMANOIDS. It is physically impossible for a humanoid to be as large as those depicted in some of the pictures that Brians Evil Twin posted and still be able to support their own weight, walk around, jump, run, and generally function. Not to mention, pump blood around, etc.
I'm not a conspiracy theorist and/or enthusiast by any stretch. However, it is always a bad idea to bet against nature.
To paraphrase "Jurassic park": "nature always finds a way".
Jurassic Park is science fiction; in real life, there's a limit to how strong bone is, as well as connective tissue, how much blood pressure your vessels can handle, etc, etc.
And I think that the quote meant more "life finds a way to persist/continue," not "life finds a way to make humanoids as tall as sycamore trees."
I just want a stun gun that operates on string theory. Folks will be in trouble then....
The tallest recorded human being was Robert Wadlow at 8 feet, 11 inches, which is insanely tall. The Chinese woman pictured above was "only" 7 feet, 8 inches tall, not anywhere near the size of some of the doctored photos shown earlier. Still, all of these incredibly tall people start suffering health problems because of their size.
