Glad to hear it.
That was good news indeed!
I had trouble believing that he would outright steal it.
Glad everything turns out fine. But you have to promise to post pics and updates when you finish it.
As per Lefty's request, I'm going to post the email he sent me about the situation.
Thanks to you, David. Thanks to those who gave me the benefit of the doubt. And, for those who did not, I understand that too, and for many of you it is a logical fear and conclusion, unless you really know me.
I want to clarify- Re; Roman--my comment was meant to reflect that he found his whole world that had been in place for many years collapsing around him. As we know, he had to start over among friends and in a complete change of location.
I have not given up, but I see a hard road to re-establish myself-especially in my own eyes and heart. When I asked David to post the above for me, I stated, "Those that mind don't matter and those that matter don't mind."
I desperately want to reunite with the woman I will love until I die and pray I may join her in the island home we used to share. She is so special that my daughter loves her and my daughter's mother, my first wife of 34 years, loves her too. Luckily, her(my love's) children and the grandchildren love me and we are a happy blended family when things are right. We are working toward the reunification. I will either have a separate shop with what I may have left in tools, or part of the island garage-which unfortunately regularly floods even when the house rarely does and relies on woodburning for heat in our Iowa winters.
For now, it remains just me and Buttons, my crazy little dog and me. His brother "BB King" has been adopted to friends because he insisted on waging a turf war with Buttons which was characterized by "territorial marking" inside the house and occasionally nipping me(not to mention the occasional "Marking" of me as I slept).
I am not really released for employment but I am seeking work as a local delivery driver in a setting without very heavy product. When you have been a well-known lawyer in a community it is hard to explain why you seek a minimum wage job with all that experience and education. Potential employers figure there is something really wrong with me-it is even harder to explain that short term memory deficit does not prevent me from being a reliable employee for those kinds of jobs.
That is all I have to say for now but I can now also get a couple of Cattos sent to a couple of patient gentlemen here.
My best regards to all, Mike T, aka Ole'Lefty
A lor of respect for you telling the truth.
I can't have hard feelings for someone who tells the truth (I really am not supposed to anyways, it's not my guitar.), I think you should even get a reward for being so upright. It's something not many people today are and a very noble attribute of your character.
I am glad you are okay, the guitar is okay and I hope everything turns out the best for you Mike.
Did you get your guitar back yet?
Yep, sitting in the case in my living room floor. Mike was gracious enough to send me some goodies when he sent her back. Now, not much was done to it, but that's fine. A new peg face overlay, a refinish and she'll be good as new.
Pretty much the same as it was on like page 3.
Well I for one am glad you have it back.
Me too, maybe I'll get the time to fix 'er up.
Or you could sell her
This is also an option... My friend has a really nice amp I've been eyeing. He wants 800 for it. Selling this could take quite a bit of sting out of it.
And so, a bittersweet conclusion: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/member-classifieds/153660-fs-les-paul-bfg-project.html
kk, so i came back to mylespaul to check on any new events and stuff, and i see this, seriously i did return him his tools way back, so i cant be blamed for this
This is not ojedad23's fault. I described above what the totality of the circumstances was.
