Best Tube Amp for Classic Rock ??

    I would love to have four of those bad little amps
    stack the the cabs by 2 sideways and pile the heads on
    top.

    I had a FENDER TWIN BLACKFACE, TONE TO DIE FOR! /ERIC CLAPTOPN AND DUANE ALLMAN USED FENDER CHAMPS I THINK ON THE LAYLA L.P. I COULD BE WRONG THOUGH

    In my book Fender Bassman and any Marshall JMP. Vox AC30 as close 2nd.

    what would be a good one to get for about a grand maybe a little more. should do Zeppelin stuff ...

    Tough to get more classic rock than this. Left is a 63 non Top Boost AC30. Right is a 68 50 watter. I use a Radial Headbone to switch into the 1X12 cab which has a Scumback 65 watt speaker.

    The Marshall is the "classic" rock sound. But the AC30 is the better amp overall.

    I'm getting a sweet sound from my Seymour Duncan convertible dry thru a Marshall4x12 I slave out to an ART SGX2000 and a Marshall stereo tube pwr amp and a 2x12cab is my wet...tone of the godz!

    I'm quite fond of Marshall's for the classic rock sound.

    i was about to recomend the same


    theres a video of some guy playing led zep tunes on one, and he has the tone nailed


    my only issue is the power, is 15/7 watts really enough?

    A lot of the sidemen in the '70s were using Musicman amps. Don't hear to much abou them lately. Alnyone have one?

    I would prefer HOT Bassguy (vintage) or HOT Rock Hearth (vintage/modern). Bassguy is of more vintage character and according my experience more suitable for old school rock and blues.
