Holy crap, that’s amazing. Model/finish?
Thanks! 2018 Braz Board 59
My favorite top is and will always be on the Custom I no longer have. I know I'll never get that top again.
2018 Murphy R9 runner up maybe....
You never saw anything like these in the 60s. The Les Pauls i did see for sale were always plain tops, and the cherry red was always very cherry. These are radicalized for todays buyer. They don't look anything like the old originals.
It must have been the rare occasion to find one with a flame top in the old days.
Whoa... Dude.... I’m drooling.
Just curious: what finish is that?
Dirty green lemon
You should totally post more pics of that one. It’s a contender for top prize. And if you ever want to sell it let me know
Wow great guitars in this thread. My take away is that it will be near impossible to pick just one!!!!!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Carry on with the killer tops!!
Here is my beloved 2018 R8 in Royal Tea Burst, thanks to Mark Bishop at Mark's Guitar Loft, who is also responsible for the nice pictures (used with his permission, of course). The last pic I took with my phone to show why I had to post Mark's pics!

Do you own that 2001 R9? If not, where do I buy it?
That guitar is a 2017 model, not 2018. But it is super nice and possibly the best from 2017.
Lots of monster tops this year too
M2M ultra heavy aged R9
You know... when 'heavy aged' isn't enough lol
Sct13... always some of my favorite pictures!!! Look at the three coffee pods on the left... they correspond to the guitar coloring as does the pear cookie jar... brother if you ever conduct an MLP photo class, sign me up!
PS- love the thread and loving the 2018s!
Thanx for the positive comment!
I just take advantage of whatever is nearby and add it too the frame ....
Its about understanding framing and lighting and what the camera will record.
Probably bad form to vote for yourself but I sure love my new 2018 R9
