Which strings are you using, My favorite electric strings for my LP are GHS boomers They sound great and last well. I used to use Ernie Ball super slinky's but found that they broke a lot easier. I have only been playing for just over a year so would take advice.

Provided all else is equal, the light strings last just as long (longer than they stay bright) if you keep them clean. My finger oil will eat right though if I don't keep it wiped off between playings.

Right now I'm using Gibson Pure Nickle Vintage Reissue and Elixer Anti-Rust strings. I like them both and they are both are in 9-42 sets. They both have great tone~!!!!:dude::thumb::slash:

The ONLY thing I think I know about strings is that I like the DR Tite-fit's better than the DR Pure Nickel.

I don't think there is a "best string" for LP's. It falls under personal preference. I've been using Ernie Ball since I started playing. I tried Gibson, D'Adarrio, GHS... Balls just feel better to my fingers... oh wait... should I reword that? :laugh2:

I use Ernie Ball Power Slinky RPS .11-.48. They give you a hard rocking sound, and won't get broken even if you bang till ya drop.
