I have a '96 Les Paul Special with stock pickups. I'd like to have the middle position be hum free. A bit more growl would be welcomed too. Who makes the best RW/RP P-90 set? Duncan?, Throwback? Wolftone? Lollar? Fralin? Other?

Anyone can wind 2 p90's to be hum cancelling......you just need to ask the winder.

I like Zhangbucker's p90's. And James from ReWind has wound really nice p90's for me too. You need first to find out what you want tonally and see if that matches any offerings as stock.....or alternatively pick a winder that you like how they operate and talk directly to get a wind to suit.

The Duncan Hot P90 set can cancel hum. I think the other models (the Vintage & Custom) don't, unless you order one rw/rp.

If P-90s are built in true vintage-style fashion, they are VERY easy to mod to be RWRP: swap two wires, loosen two screws, flip two magnets.
