Sorry if this has been posted but was just wondering what everyones best find in a pawn shop was??
I once found a search button..... and it was free!!
I got this beat '59 for $275 in '06 at the height of overpriced craziness.
'55 LPC for $1100, 65' Melody Maker for $500
I'm going to be surprised if 27Sauce gets topped on this one. Your capital appreciation from the moment you handed him the cash to the moment you got your receipt would impress Warren Buffet. I've always had my eye out for a bargain on an original LP jr. of similar vintage. I suspect I'll have the eye out for a while.
Speaking of 70's iconic guitars, I seem to remember a photo of Page playing a tobacco sunburst, single cut away LP junior somewhere, long ago.
Little trio, '62 Princeton for $300 in '03, '74 vibrolux in '06 for $600, '62 SG for $500 in '07.
Sorry about the blurry pic!
A pair of Yamaha NS-10s (studio reference monitors) for $100.
Thats a great deal
Haters gonna hate
Yeah, that one of those situations, where I tried not to rip the lining out my pocket getting to my wallet.
I like that SG and amps you got. I bet those P90s are to die for.
2007 CR8, $800 in '10. It was out for sale for a couple of weeks too, I got really lucky on this one.
Was the neck on the 62 SG broken. If not, I saw a 63' version of your guitar (SG special) appraised for $6,000.00 last night on antiques road show (Montana).
Landed on your feet there!
I love the fact that most pawnshops probably though ti was a standard, saw the vos hardware and just though oh it's some guitar, never realizing it was CS Gibson :L
They thought it was a Chinese fake, the shop's guitar "expert" said there is no such thing as a hollow Les Paul!
Score! I wish I could find a deal like that!
Got this in '03 for $400, which wasn't that great of a deal then, I just had to have it.
