I started looking for a newer 2016 or 2017 Gibson LP Studio then went to the Tribute T's. Somewhat uninspired by the quality I was seeing and feeling. Although I would like a Gibson it is just hard to see spending more money and getting something that needs work. So I thought I would ask those in the EPI family for some ideas. I kind of wanted to stay in the new or newer because of fret wear and wear. Hope to hear.
P.S. Need to have 60's Slim Taper neck.

In my experience almost every Epiphone I have ever played required some degree of fretwork to get them playing at their best. Unfortunately the <$1000 Gibsons aren't any better, some of them are actually even worse.

No offense to the owners of such guitars, but I consider the $1000 Gibsons to be $400 guitars with a $600 sticker on them.

Does it have to be a Gibson or an Epiphone? There are lots of other higher quality options coming out of Japan from brands like Tokai, Edwards, Burny and FGN that are worth checking out.

Tribute + is the best bang for your buck. You can probably get one new for $640 otd (unless you live in California). The pickups alone are $300 brand new retail. Long neck tenon, snazzy wiring and I'm a 60's slim taper fan too, being a strat guy. The neck on my T+ is to die for.

Maybe Paruwi will post that awesome T+ Epi advertisement....

Yep, my T+ got a fret level inside of a week when I bought it brand new.... the difference was night and day. It felt almost unplayable before....
The $110 I spent on the fret level
    Was totally worth it..

Can anyone compare the EPI Tribute Plus and the Gibson LP Tribute T (Honey Burst)?

Almost snagged one of these a few months back; had to do some car repairs and it sold before I made it back.

Now waiting for one to pop up used in the next couple of years!
