It is absolutely true that Umang wouldn't put the guitar down - wish I'd heard it through a real amp. He can really play! :thumb:

I'm not sure yet about the fate of the board. A V would be cool, but I only get to use the board once, so am waiting to be sure...

The funny thing is that you aren't the first person to say you'd rather hang one of my fretboards on the wall, than put it on a guitar!

Hmmm... How about building something Vik Duality 7-ish for that fretboard? :D

The fretboard is waiting for something special. Lots of ideas, but its day has to come. One day, I'll wake up and it will just be the right time to use it...

What a great story and a cool way to end an amazing build!

Gotta love the powers of the interwebz bringing together people from different countries!

Cheers! This was an amazing journey for me - one of those life-changing experiences, if that doesn't sound too cheesy. :thumb:

The photos were taken literally days before the guitar left in February last year. My brother has had it for over a year now and plays it all the time. He's got another one coming from me too - a thinline tele.

Mate, just finished reading 70 pages of this thread, and it turned out awesome.
loved your determination and especially your humour through out.

i dont know how a thread can have 70 pages and not be a sticky. Great work. Thanks again for all your help with my builds.

now its onto reading your 3rd build

by the way did thus one go to Toby? Ir was it another one?

    Cheers and many thanks!

This was a huge and fun thread (it might possibly be the longest in the LC, although I don't know how to check such things), but I understand why it's not a sticky - that should be reserved for pro builds and useful information for everyone, I think - like Tom's build thread, Freddy and Roman's setup threads and Greg's Q&A thread. Those, for me, typify the best that this part of the forum has to offer.

For me, this thread documents how I fell in love with guitar building and is also where many of my enduring friendships on this forum began.

This guitar did, indeed, go to Toby. He has it and plays it all the time.

Been really enjoying your build threads, by the way, and am looking forward to many, many more. :thumb:
