Barber Direct Drive

    I've had it for 6 or so years, it's very lightly used and it won't work. Just bought a new battery and it still doesn't work. Light won't come on. Anybody got an idea of what's going on?

    Crack her open and start looking for unconnected solder joints.

    My first guess is the switch. 3PDT's have a tendency to get fouled-up where a cleaning might help if you have some contact cleaner. They also have a relatively short lifespan for an on-off switch that you hit with your foot.

    10-15 years ago I was all about the 3PDT. Now I understand why the relay made a comeback. 3PDT's are neither the most reliable nor elegant solution for true bypass.
