    Awesome takes!

I'll have to get the Martin and mics out...I'll do an electric one first...

I picked up a guitar first time in what seems forever. LP has dead string..I hadn't played the old 65 ES175 in a while..intonation needs adjusting so I worked around it..
The 175 is light and my busted ribs didn't mind it !!
So..still April's Fool but feels great to actually put these old fingers on my old friend's neck..
Tried to emulate what the 175 sounds like through my 67 Gibson GA75 Recording amp..(one of one made)
    I think I'm getting back..a little
    still..

I was going to use my 65 J-200 but it needs strings badly..
I gots work to do on these guitars..been neglected..
    Almost alive again..I actually can sleep in a bed..not a chair..and eat..
Tomorrow actually trying to get the Hot Rods and maybe bike out..we'll see..

    Old guy..old stuff..

Great to have you back playing parts!

I'll take a listen to everybody's takes in a minute, but for now here is my first run through. Oh boy, am I rusty on an acoustic. I haven't touched one in about a year, but here you go. Switched to a strat before end. Threw in part of a Pink Floyd solo for grins and giggles :laugh2:

    Great takes from everybody :thumb:

I'll probably give this one a couple tries. Stretch out on the acoustic a little. :)

Here's Mine ...I did three takes, all with different effects and tone...and spliced the three that sounded halfway decent....

Bends don't work on this one very well ...

I tried to make it airy

I'll break out the acoustic later this month and try a different approach...

    Nice..

I actually picked up the slide on this last night...but I cant seen to translate what I'm hearing in my head to the slide...I'm completely frustrated by the slide...

So I did this one instead...better than the last one, with a few miss steps.

Never post a track after midnight..

So it's 1:48 AM..some whiskey..a little Melon Gum..and my son taped me on the shoulder so there are some things weird and shortened.. and the old insomniac..
Dead strings on LPC and I bend the crap out of them..so busted a B string..

So it's the 66 355..I want to restore it to Alnico from the Ceramics I changed about 1976 or so..to get more bite with my double Sunn Coliseums
So..Neck PU rotated varitone full right 1 (an unusual wired varitone )..so sometimes a lot of fiddling to get what I can live with..

Nasty on Bridge but blendable in center (stereo)..
First night on anything stronger than the 175 take..
    I need reps..so warning..there will be more..
    355 take..just a one shooter..straight through//

The greatest thing..at 68...when I PICK UP THE GUITAR i am ageless..just me and my guitars "until the end"..
Just an old guy..old guitars and old fingers..lol
    Forever young..

I really love that flurry @ 1:07 and the others after. Tasty embellishments that add more sweetness in a mellow progression.

I am always searching for something different, as my tool belt is rather sparse. And that all sits right there in the box and is more about timing execution, rather than running all over the neck. Thanks for the light bulb!

    Who Knew? LOL

And you sound like nothing ever happened! NICE!
