If you're local to the Austin area I just listed one on CL.
Just for those out there who might have interest in it. Is it a MKI, MKII, XL, or XL+?
Even for a MKI that is a great price.
MK1 I guess since it doesn't say.
Are you giving up modelling?
Absolutely not, just going a different direction.
Sooo.... what then? Inquiring minds want to know
Helix LT for kicks and Positive Grid plugins on my Macbook. Bias software modeling is incredible.
I like you
I'm really wanting a helix for all the routing options, it's a Swiss Army knife of tone!
Helix is a great piece of kit.
But, it doesn't have more routing options than the Axe FX. It does have a nice interface on the floor model.
Got $1,300 cash for the Axe-Fx. The Helix is a great device. More versatile than I expected it to be. I have a JTV-69 James Tyler Variax that works very well with it.
I have been seeing lots of those JTs in venues I visit.. Post some clips.
I'd always dismissed the JTV, but now that I have the helix, I kinda want one... maybe the strat-like one since I have humbuckers covered many times over
curious, what does the AXEFX do for routing that the helix doesn't? not doubting you, just ignorant of it... I haven't found anything the helix couldn't do, including switch channels on 'real' amps.... which is something I would have never dreamed of it doing... so I'm just wondering what other options I'm failing to imagine.
Notice, I didn't say the Axe had more routing, I said the Helix doesn't have more. This "I haven't found anything the helix couldn't do" applies to the Axe Fx. If you can think it, it can do it.
