I don't think Epi's are underrated or underappreciated. Heaven knows they sell trillions of them at all price points. Gibson sells very few of its super-expensive limited fancy pieces. Given the vast number of Epi owners who praise their own guitars, I'm wondering who is supposedly sniffing all those corks and crapping on the guitars. Sure, an occasional post does so, and sure, there are a few real snobs out there, but if I've learned anything from the guitar world and forums like this, it's that most people enjoy seeing owners who love and play whatever guitar they really like. Yes, we have a cultural problem with elitism and an orientation towards expensive material things as being somehow superior, but I see less, not more, of this in the guitar world.
