Back on topic I've been playing 9's for a while now and I think I'm going to go back to 10's.

The feel is weird under my fingertips and the bare strings are leaving stinging marks in my tips.

My guitar also sounds thin and shrill, so I'm thinking more mass=more bottom toanz... can't hurt!

Please don't tell ol rufty-tufty! I don't want a punch inna mouth! I tried it his way, just not workin' out for me. Sorry!

Opinions outside of those put forth by ruff tuff are not allowed. :squint:

If you disagree with his choices on string gauge, he will punch you in the mouth. He said so on page 1.. :Ohno:

That moment when you read through a thread wanting to comment on the original topic, and then the thread takes a totally different turn. And you think of something to comment on about that, and the thread takes another turn. And another turn. And now there are 4 dudes fluffing their pillows.

    Never mind. :laugh2:

Hey Darrell, and everybody! I've never really gone away, but a combination of a very busy life, and a low time on this board a couple of years ago (in my opinion) kept this out of my regular loop. In the last few years I've gotten married, been raising some step kids, lost my dad way too young, taken over the family business, try to keep my doggies happy, and really try to get a couple of minutes in on a guitar here and there.

So, life's been mucho, mucho busy for me, but I pop in from time to time. I usually don't find opportunity to unload like I used to in here though. :laugh2:

    Hope all is well!

He came up with such an off-the -wall comment in one thread a long time ago, that I instituted this award:

Then the sod went and won it a second time! :laugh2: :thumb: :applause:

:laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: I really stepped in it when you created that award for me! :laugh2:

I was dilligently trying to prove or disprove whether or not Vasco was actually holding a plinko-caster or if it was a photoshop set-up. Needless to say I was nowhere NEAR in on the joke. :laugh2:

Sad to say, but the guy who owned the red lefty Strat, Lou, has cancer, and when I last heard, had only weeks to live. I expect to hear of his death soon, and the funeral arrangements...

I'm very sorry to hear that, John. Cancer is a bitch of a thing. It's what took my dad down. I can only hope he's at peace with what is happening. Good wishes to him from a stranger across the pond.

Yeah, not a nice thing at all. He is one of the good guys. Was in on the joke of me holding and playing his lefty Strat. He happily played my LP at a jam as well. Terrible shame, but I know he'll get a good send-off, as I'm sure a lot of local musos will be in attendance...

Hope you are doing well. This nutter is still gigging and I'm 67 later in the year!

+1:thumb: Here as well. I'm a little late coming in on this but nonetheless!

Wouldn't wish it on anybody, lost a dear sister to it years ago. Nasty stuff! Hated seeing her like that near the end!
