I picked up an Agile Gretsch type 12 string to fool around with to see if I liked it. It`s really weird to play. Anyone here play electric 12, and if so, for what type of music? I`m doing a 12 string Les Paul as my current project and now I`m wondering what I`m gonna do with it.

I got a wild hair years ago and converted a pawnshop Seville Lester copy into a twelve string with a Warmoth neck and a Gotoh bridge. Sounded pretty good, but it was really uncomfortable. Really heavy and just plain awkward. Probably something to do with converting a 24 3/4'' body to 25 1/2 ''. Now I've got it all set up on a Squire bullet body with GFS Retrotrons. Sounds really good and Gretsch-y. Great for Tom Petty stuff.

You can send that Les Paul 12-string my way. I used to have a double neck. I miss playing a 12-string electric. Now I have some gas brewing......:naughty:

I always wanted a Fender Electric XII but never really had the heart to pony up the cash. I dig that Hamer too.

I've got a Rick 370/12 that I love, but it IS somewhat of a "specialty" guitar. I am thinking of a few tunes that I can incorporate it into. It can be a great substitute for an acoustic in the right context.

It's like having a Natural Chorus. Wider sound then a 6 string.

I have one I love playing 12 string's There Fantastic! Throw a Phase 90 in front or a uni vibe and you don't even need acid.
I had a 12/75 years ago but sold it. But I just Got my Page 12/75 and it's Fuking Incredible :thumb:

I've got an Ibanez 1275 copy that I got in '75 but I never play it now.
My other 12 is a K.Yairi WY1-12 acoustic electric which is a great gat.
