My Ex-band mate bought a really sweet SG a few years back and put 9's on it. After fiddling about for 5 mins I managed the break the low E and D! Although, when I was in that band, I used 12's on an Ibanez Artcore, so playing that SG was a bit like Mike Tyson shaking hands with a butterfly!

Had my Polymist Gold model on reserve for what seems like years now... And finally, both my SG and Les Paul have sold and I can place the order later today... Hooray.
It should ship Monday so it will be with me Tuesday. So excited!

This weekend, I took care of some fret ends that needed attention, and checked the frets and buffed them up to a nice shine. Those Stew Mac fret erasers kick ass!

Then some Howards Wax n Feed on the board gave it a nice dark hue.

And then, just for giggles I reversed the tone and out put jack and I like it better. Allen Collins did that back in the Skynrd days, and I like how it feels better.

I finally have it! Got to say it plays better and looks even better than I remember! The action was very high at first and was wary of lowering it but I thought, what damage can it really do??? Amazing guitar... It has unbelievable clarity. I can't wait to get gigging it! Getting through work today was tough, just couldn't wait to get home. The neck is perfect. Everything is perfect!

Only managed to get a few decent ones, I'm not the best photographer... Will try and get some more decent ones tonight! Absolutely love it. Can't put it down... Not stopped thinking about it since I got to work this morning...

Cheers guys! Quick question, never worked with a wrap around before... Lowered the action a touch via the bolts... But it seems to have thrown the intonation out a little bit... How the hell do you intonate these things?

    You don't...
Well, you can use the screws on the back to move it forward or backward.

Even with a Peterson virtual strobe, I can't get the intonation as perfect as I want. And I'm a stickler for that, and I was considering locking posts to eliminate the slight forward tilt of the bridge.

I think that may help. :hmm: Along with steel bushings and a MojoAxe bridge, hell yeah!:dude::jam::rock:

OCD can be a pain at times........
