It is the end of this month on Long Island, anyone going? Since I've never been to a guitar show before I have a few questions and wonder if anyone can shed some light.

    1. Can deals be had or is it just a reason to jack up prices and score some bucks of suckers?

    2. How is payment generally handled? Should I roll in their with a wad of cash or can I use plastic? Better price for cash?

    3. Do prices get lowered in the last hour of the show. Years ago I did the full schedule of motorcycle shows and noticed in some cities vendors were blowing out prices at the end of the show. Has anyone noticed this phenomena?

    1. Deals can definitely be had.

    2. Most are cash, or maybe pay pal. Credit is less likely.

    3. Many are more willing to deal towards the end of the last day, particularly if they were hoping to sell more than they did. You might miss out on someone else buying what you want though.

You may also get good deals on new guitars when the shows are towards the end of the calender year if the vendors are trying to move inventory.
