Sounds like he may have sold those cabinets to someone else. Or just kept them
    for himself.

Maybe someone he knows wanted to restore their amp? Or someone who was willing
    to pay more money.

I hate to say it but those cabinets are probably long gone.

I've got a baseball bat, if you've got a little dough.

    Just sayin'.

I sent another message to his bandmates, letting them know that we've been beyond patient and have gone out of our way to resolve this amicably. I asked them to please get in touch with Gregg and urge him to either finish the work immediately or make arrangements to ship everything back.

I would just demand my stuff back. Screw the work. He doesn't deserve the business.

I can't even do that until I at least get a response from the guy. When I contacted his band, I mentioned that several of us were looking at involving the police. Hopefully that gets his attention.

I'm not on Facebook, but I sent an email through the bands web page.

I finally got a very generic response from him: "Thanks for checking in. I'm able to spend more time in the shop and am trying my best to get things caught up. I thank you, again, for your patience. I apologize for your wait and that I'm not better at communicating. Will keep things moving along."

No mention of the 4.5 year wait for 58 Deluxe's cabinets, which I specifically asked him about in my email. I even mentioned that it was being discussed over here, I'm sure he could find this thread and read about his reputation going down the drain if he were so inclined.

I sent him an email yesterday, and he got right back to me. I'm not a customer, but wanted to see if he'd respond.

I received a reply as well so that's a good sign.

Was it the same generic response I got? After 4.5 years, he should either complete the work at no charge, or return your cabinets and any materials you sent at his expense.
