Thanks for that info.
Not a "sticker", but actual playing cards....
Not exactly a "sticker", more like a "label"....
Stuff I like rarely goes un-modified. If a sticker makes me happy, on it goes. The idea that an item is "fully realized" when it hits the end of an assembly line is absurd to me.
Tsk tsk. The flag's upside down on a stand or hanging. Wreckless.
Guy, you're a bit of a fruit loop aren't you?
TheX, the flag issue was covered (and settled).
Also, the thread title didn't ask if there's hate for stickers. There are literally tens of thousands of threads on this forum with stickerless guitars. Go find one.
Back on topic.. not my guitar (obviously), but one I like. Pic I took a year or so ago:
I have to say, that I've never seen a flag hung like that before...or at least I never noticed it hanging that way....but it looks as if you are correct.
Worth noting that as Alvin got older, he had fewer and fewer stickers on his guitars (just the peace sign in 2012, none at all just before he died).
Stickers are for babies. Grown men use water slide decals.
Does that mean to live longer we should add stickers?
Because you said so? You must be VERY important to command that much power.
This makes sense, so I just did this :
I wouldn't put stickers on my guitars now but it used to be the fashion before guitars became a fetish for some.
Someday I will own a gold top and put Mike Ness stickers on it.
Someday I will own a white dc melody maker and put Joan Jett stickers on it.
That said............don't ever plan on taking them off.........as I learned when the dumb kid me grew up to a "responsible" adult........
Tried to remove them from my 85 explorer......which had faded to a beautiful cream........other than were the stickers were...............DOH!!!
i HATE stickers. once worked with a guy who found out i did work on guitars.
"hey man i have an old silvertone with a few stickers on it, id like to get them off and maybe do some mods, wanna look at it?"
the entire thing was sticker bombed. guy was pointing out stickers he liked and wanted to stay on the guitar.
"can we cut this one out and move it over here?"
no. just burn the fvcking thing.
Only on my Strat. A large sticker from the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria (Wien).
I thought that's what tats were for.
Honestly, if I were doing this, I'd duplicate the stickers onto a vinyl wrap and then put THAT onto the guitar. You can change it out if you want to, preserve the underlying paint job, etc., etc. If it's good enough for a Lamborghini, it should be okay on your guitar.
Guitar Skin and Wraps for Musical Instruments or somesuch will do it for you.
I'm gonna get a LP Custom sticker and slap it on my Studio!
If I liked the look of 'bursts, I'd get that sticker. But since I don't, maybe I'll get a Black Beauty sticker to cover up my '59!
Fr your burst
Same, though I can blame it on a previous owner. I've always wondered what the sticker was.
