49-years-old and been gigging regularly for almost 30 years.
I enjoy playing my "good" stuff at home or if there's a nice stage/bandstand, but if I'm on the floor with drunken dancers, I gig my Asian stuff (2 Epis and a Gretsch).

55 here. I've got one, a lefty Special II. About as low-end an Epi as you can get. I like that little thing. Got a real comfortable neck. I don't gig with it much but bring it along sometimes. Put a couple of Duncan 59s in it that I had laying around. Fun guitar it is.

I am 43. I own about 10 Guitars, mostly Gibson(1980 SG Standard. 2000 Flying V ,in cherry, 2000 Explorer, 1949 es-125, among others). The new 1960 V3 Les Paul I bought from Epi is now the top guitar in my collection, in every way; totally blowing any Les paul under 3 grand out of the water. The elitist snobs will never admit it, but the newer high end Epi's are a huge step forward for them.

I love it when value over-rides panache. I played the V3, I played the plekked Gibson Les Paul Standards, and the V3 saved me 1600$. I have better sustain with the solid mahogany back. I have the exact same pick-ups and tuners. The finish is not Nitro, but is that really worth 1600$? The synthetic bone nut is doing it's job. The one complaint I have is that it does not like Mangum Jazz Strings; but I went back to Gibsons and it now frets very well again. I took it for set up; and the tech said it could not be improved enough to justify the money. No buzzing frets ,period. The sustain is incredble, and the round tone of the neck pick-up is as round and warm as anything you ever heard . I now prefer to play it on the lead pick-up for rythym, and vice versa. I say to anyone who would like to buy several guitars with 2500-3000$; to buy this guitar as one of them. You could buy this a flying V, and an Explorer for what a seemingly inferior Gibson Les Paul Standard Costs. The VOS is a straight rip-off BTW.

The OP is insinuating that Epiphones are only for those under 18, a "real adult" should have a Gibson.

As has been pointed out...stupid question. Guess that says as much as need be said about the OP.

    Just another "headstock hero"...

Not sure why there have been so many serious responses.
