I tried to tell him it's a 2001 but all he replied was thanks for the input. At least he didn't list it at a jacked up price. He made the common mistake of using the serial number dater. I ran it thru that and it did come up as 1967.

Think he'd want to trade for my 64 burst?

Florida just replied with: we researched the guitar and the first two numbers of the 6 digit serial number doesn't designate the year the guitar was made.

News to me on a Classic. Best of luck to them.

Even more rare could be the original case made by TKL, 17 years before they were founded.

Sent this message via ebay,With a link to info about the LP classic series.

"m guessing you don't know that Gibson did not make Sunburst Les Paul's in 1967."

    Got this in response.

"okay I really appreciate your input. I will relist the item with a correct description. Serious question though, how do you explain the serial number? Again, thanks for your all your information."

Cool. I had also sent him links with info on classics as well as a link to the TKL site showing the "original" case company wasnt founded until 1984

Honest mistake. But, that aside, even for it's condition, the price is about $150-$200 too high.

Glad he was cordial with his response.
