Came across these things recently and they are the best Ive heard....

Seems they are out of stock so..

Is there an alternative from other brands that do a similar thing, pref with the vintage wire they advertise as an important element in regard to achieving an authentic tone?

Wizz does vintage wire runs occasionally. James at Rewind may have some wire left, but I had him wind me 3 pickups with it.

Yeah, mine are long gone aside from the personal sets but do get in touch with Alex at Wizz and James from ReWind. Both fantastic in their workmanship and easy to deal with. You never know if one of them has something kicking around! I know Alex had a few different sets of vintage era PE not too far back.

You may also be able to find Sigil sets on Reverb if you're patient. It's all a matter of luck at times.

The vintage wire is quite rare, and often the spools are unusable. I was very lucky to get a set of the 57's from Sigil, as well as the Wizz vintage wire versions. Both great pickups but with a different tone - just as the Sigil and Wizz regular wire versions are a bit different.
You'd probably find that his regular wire versions would be the closest.
