Back to regular riding after about a year due to work obligations.

136 miles last week, I'd like to make that every week.

That's super nice. It's nicer than my bike. It's like a bicycular work of art. What's the 2017 retail on those?

Glad I can finally contribute to this thread...

I restored my Father's '73 Raleigh over the winter, it may not be the fastest (certainly not lightest) bike on the road but I've been loving riding it this spring and summer. Its so therapeutic to bike around the countryside with no loud noises and minimal traffic. I did the NYC Five Borough ride a month ago, which was my first organized event and had a great time, can't wait to do it next year. Anyway, here it is stripped down and refinished, as I said its certainly not the nicest bike but its got sentimental value and is actually a very nice ride. Refinished with lacquer of course for the tonez :slash:

Nice Raleigh. Was it a Super Course?

It was a Super Grand Prix (I could be wrong on year though), I believe my Dad said it was the first Raleigh to have the shifters moved up the handles instead of the Simplex on the frame itself. It was basically this bike, same ugly 70's green/beige

I've been using a bike as sole transportation for the past 2 years. Living in a small town helps as I can bike to any place I need to go.

Steel is real. For Fathers Day, I treated myself to a fire engine red 1983 Fuji Monterey 10 spd., 90 psi skinnies.... not their top of the line but a nice bike. The Fuji was real clean.

I was using a cheap mongoose 21 spd mountain bike before. Now I can really cruise. One thing I noticed was that the Fuji's gear ratio's were more for flat open roads: Sun Tour Perfect with 14, 16, 19, 24, and 28 teeth. I think I want to change the gear cluster for a lower first gear as I live in the foothills of the Appalachians.

I don't have any pics of my own yet, but here is exactly the way it looks

I decided to modify my road bike for comfort. I ride a Cannondale CAAD10. Pretty aggressive geometry and it can get uncomfortable on long rides. So I just changed from 23mm tires to 28mm and I am looking for a taller stem to raise the bars a bit.

After my regular workout ride on Friday, I came back to the car and found this parked next to my Ridgeline:

That's a seriously clean engine, makes my bike look like a filthy mess.

    Fuji are seriously under-rated bikes.

We've had an awful summer in Toronto this year. It's rained more than not so I haven't been out as much as I would have liked to. I have been logging km's on the trainer though when it's too wet.

    :(

It's purdy, but I can't help but think the engine looks like Wall-E! :laugh2:

That car was there again this morning when I arrived to start my daily circuit.

Old hippie dude that owns it is a bit strange, he was muttering to hisself while cleaning the rims.

I said "good morning!" and he replied, then went back to mutttering.

He also practices Taisoken (sword yoga) with a real Ninja sword down there.

    What a country...

Ever get a zit in your taint area that then becomes inflamed when you ride?

    I know, I know, TMI.
