    Hi all,

Does anyone know where I can find a Maestro vibrola arm with a dull/aged finish? Just the arm - not the whole trem. Need one for my SG, but I want it to match the dull finish on my guitar and not be all shiny and new looking.

Didn't know if there were any good parts places to check. Looked at Reverb and eBay, but they're new and shiny parts.

Or is there a way - short of waiting 20 years - to give it a realistically dulled appearance? Not sure if I want to deal with muriatic acid.

    Thanks

You might try Crazyparts in Germany. They will age it for you for a few dollars more, IIRC.

If you want to get a nickel one from somewhere else and age it yourself, you can suspend it over vinegar in a sealed tupperware container and get a nice dulled appearance to the nickel. Just make sure you clean it of fingerprints first.
