I would like to do some experimenting on my 2000 LPS. I have a couple of Bourns push/pull pots here that might work, but I bought them for my Strats, and I'd like to know if they'll fit before I start pulling my electronics apart. The threaded part of the shafts are about 3/8" long. Will that be long enough?

I did a quick search here and found a good thread someone made.

You’ll want to make sure the pot is a 500k if you’re removing a 500k - there’s plenty of info online as to what difference that means for tone. Fender generally uses 250k for single coils but if it is a push pull it may have been used to split coil a humbucker and may be a 500k.

Push pull pots generally aren’t anything special with regard to functionality other than quality.

    But anyway .... http://www.mylespaul.com/threads/what-pot-shaft-length-does-my-les-paul-take.134675/

That's great! Thank you for the link. The pots I have are 500K, but they're 3/8" so it looks like I'll need some long shafts.
