I love the 80s. Fashion, music everything. This one is a BEAST. Kramer Stagemaster Deluxe made in 1986. One of the few in the world without a headstock job! When I bought the guitar in 2012 it was completely stock except the pickup. Someone put a duncan screamin demon. VERY weak pickup.

I have upgraded the guitar with the graphic (made by a friend of mine cause plain black was boring), extra jumbo steel frets, duncan distortion in the bridge, duncan lil 59 in the neck, replaced ALL the pots and the 5-way switch. The guitar is in MINT condition for its age(it's older than me). Only the floyd, the middle pickup and the tuners are stock anymore. Great great shredder

Great necks! Would love to own a USA made, early 80s Kramer.

I had one of these for a little while back in the 80s:

It was fun and sounded OK. At the time I bought it, I thought it was a great value, particularly since it was loaded with a real Floyd. I wish I had tried some of the better Kramers.

Cool.. a mate of mine had a 80s baretta which was cool. USA model.

I own one of the neck thru musicyo models from early 2000. Neck thru maple.. think the wings are alder or poplar. Completely refinished it. Nice shredder. Its loaded with bareknuckle rebel yells.. all new cts pots.. excellent action. Not sure why everyone bashes on them. Unless it has to do with corks and things

I love my Kramers. I just posted about the Baretta I snagged a few years ago for $149. It's in the Backstage. I was a member of the Kramer Guitar Forum. I posted about it and stated I was confused about the serial number. They had the answer. It was a Custom Order from the '80's. Alas. I sold it. I still have a few MIJ's.

My first hi quality guitar was an 80s Kramer Pacer. Still have it. Cut my teeth on that thing.
Lovely guitars those 80s Kramers. In fact I have a Paul Dean Kramer on my bench right now in mint shape.

Picked this later 80's Kramer Striker ST200 at an auction for 80 bucks last week. I've never owned a Kramer. It's an ok guitar, I'll most likely flip it. Its pretty clean. 20180911_213159.jpg 20180911_213218.jpg

Strikers are not good examples of Kramer guitars.

I know they are cheaper MIK.... but for 80 bucks I'll put it on Ebay and triple my money. I'd rather have a Mid 80's MIJ Charvel than a Kramer anyways.

    80s Kramer guitars depreciation thread

when I got this Kramer, I replaced everything on it. And I mean everything. And now it's a guitar. And my spandex no longer rides up.

The 80’s was my favorite era of guitars. Although some of the guitars I consider 80’s go as far back as the 50’s, to me it’s about the 80’s having guitars with attitude.

I am a huge fan of Kramer Stagemaster guitars, especially the later archtop models made in '88-89. These neck through beauties were built for Kramer by ESP and are really ESP Horizons in sheep's clothing.

Unfortunately, I don't have a good group picture of all of my Stagemasters (I've got around 10 of them), but here's a pretty good pic of the first four I acquired.
