I do not understand what you want to do. Do you want to plug the bridge holes? do you want to change pickups to humbuckers?

I would use a maple dowel to plug the bridge holes. buy a plug making drill bit or buy a dowel. I could not find the correct size dowel at a store so I had to sand a larger one down to fit.

you seem to have said that you want to convert it TO a '52 from a standard, but from the 3 piece plain top and p-90 routes, and paint that never got removed, it looks like it was not a standard, but a gold top. (my understanding was that only the 58-59 burst's were referred to as the 'standard')

and if you meant to say 52 to standard, well from the tailpiece it dont look like a 52 either :hmm:

so if all you want to do is spray the gold paint and add the trapeze/bridge thing, i am going to agree with mr. tko and say that you were better off with the tunematic and stop tail piece.

and if you just meant that you want to turn your gold top into a plain top burst, then i suppose the plug you could be referring to is for the p 90 routes, in order to reroute for buckers... your local hardware/mill shop could probably cut and shape those for you, unless it is different in sweden.

this dont seem to add up to me... i think some misunderstanding has occurred.

    good luck!

I guess that it was a 56 GT copy that Anders wants to convert to a 52-53.

I fully support this project. The 54 is a beautiful lp. Especially with no pickguard. Is maple hard to find in Sweden?
