These were limited production run to 150 guitars, serial numbered by plate on back of guitars.

I haven't done very good photography work in a while, too distracted with many other things... So, teaser shots. Such a fantastic player. No coil tapping, just quality electronics, and superb play ability. I did not think it was possible for Gibson to make such a fine instrument after the quality let downs of the past year or two, but this guitar delivers. I believe it is now my number 1 Les Paul. Ironically, I had a shot at serial plate #1 guitar. But there were a couple of reasons I didn't pursue it, and stuck with this slightly higher numbered edition. First and formost, I loved the flames on this guitar. I bought through Guitar Center, and it came from a store out of Florida. It was never on the floor for sale. Stunning to me, a "keeper".

ADDED after initial post, just a nice angle on flamed top!

Great looking guitar!! Congrats! I love mine! I think these will be desirable in the future. IF Gibson doesn't decide to produce these in bulk.
Seems like every time I have bought a Limited Edition Gibson, it eventually becomes a production model.

Thanks all, very much. She is a site to behold. The really good news for me is, I don't plan to sell this guitar as long as I can play it.

FYI, I added one more close angled photo of that gorgeous top just now...

Neck is 60s profile slim taper I think is right. Very smooth and silky. I am sure the specs for the premium 2017 are still available.

Thanks Matt, liked yours too! I think anytime you have a limited number of something, even if they make a similar production model, this is still the original, if you want it, you gotta pay for it!!! I figure the collect-ability is there, even if they come out with one. I have a 2014 LP Slash Vermillion, no special numbers, no certificates, nothing, but I still think it will go up in value someday. Maybe, or at least hold resell very well. My other 2 LPs are nothing spectacular. I won't say nothing special, because to me, they all have their appeal But if I was to sell one to buy one, it would be my Trad Pro II, as I am not real hot on active pickups requiring 9V batteries, I hate that element. I am on a 5 Les Paul limit (lifetime) at any one time though! 4 now, but potentially 1 could go, so I could get up to 2 more if the money was there, lol. But right now I am really happy where I am at overall... But the thing is, all mine are different and bring something different to the guitar. Only 1 of 4 has pick guard, love the vintage burst on it, but am the least enamored with guitar being it is the trad pro II with active pup. Num 4 is an LP standard (Honeyburst), picked up from a friend. Very nice guitar, plays as well as the 2017 and has the bells and whistles (coil tapping, boost, etc...)

    I do love my Lesters!!!

I am pretty sure it is mahogany with double maple vaneer. Front and back. :)

Thank you all so far for such great comments.

Now if I could only play it. I hurt my fret hand 10 days ago on a home improvement project, and am not well yet. Hematoma on my palm, it sucks.

I tried to play earlier, it did not go well. :-(

Oh man that just seems like a cruel joke, having that guitar and not being able to play it. Get well soon.
