...They'll be out very shortly so I figured I'd at least reserve a spot and get it started...
doo doo doo doo
I wonder if they will be pricier than last year?
Gibson releases the USA lineup 4 months to early yet......
Pickup covers....and Plastics.....the big question? ....Nitro check ability....aniline fade ability? which of these features will drive prices up so high that it becomes difficult to convince the wife that you need one for the man cave......oh....wait....um...
In before the lock.
I think the R9's will have huge monster tops and the R8's will have about what the run of the mill R9 has now. If they limit production as has been reported and increased price....then big tops could be the lure. You ever look and see what the 90's monster tops go for? Maybe Gibson has too and they want some of that action on the INITIAL sale. We shall see.
well they need to hurry up ....my trigger finger is gettin' itchy....
I keep playing my 14's looking for flaws.....cant find any....
That Peach burst is a little shoulder heavy.....
Those PRICES! What???????????????????
That's what we'll all be saying once it's official
Looks like you will be the FIRST to part with ALOT of money for a '15.........
No matter what we all say about them you know we all will buy em!!
Not me...I will buy another 13 or 14....plenty of terrific ones..but yes you are right- there will be 15s sold and fought over if production is that low!!
i'll just buy a 2005 and say its a 15...=0)
That is what Gibson is banking on with the higher prices. They will make a few changes with the plastics, pickup covers and top carve, make production low and watch the collectors grab them up.
Same with the Donna and Nicky CC's coming soon. They will be way more expensive than the 2015 regular R9's but people will buy them because they are hyped with low production. Probably around 100 Nicky's and 25-50 Donnas.
Yep probably at $15-16k each..........whew
Not me! I will never spend the type of money they want for the new ones. I have two 13's that are the best historics I have had. What can they change to make it better? Brazilian? I have two vintage juniors and while it may lend to some of the awesome tone, I believe the old wood has more to do with it. My point is they will never be bursts. I gig mine regularly and I am completely happy with them. If I cough up $6-$8k on something it will be vintage. Not saying I wont have GAS anymore, I just find other things to GAS for. I am set for Les Pauls, I would like a custom again but I will buy used for sure. Just my thoughts, Brian
even some of those who swear they won't will go running back like a battered wife.
I can see the thread now....I wasn't gonna buy one, but Curt at HOG made me a great deal. Look at how awesome this plastic is! Gibson is really using some great wood on these 2015s!

At least we'll seperate the men from the boys in terms of having the spare cash, without any doubts.
Or the men from the bank robbers.
Or the boys from the lottery winners.
