That wasn't the only time:
Ditto LE...............that is precisely where I am coming from & what I believe.
To be clear on this particular issue, misrepresenting a guitar is a big no no IMHO & cannot be tolerated. Since we all sell & trade with each other & people who don't have our experience in guitars you need to be honest & upfront with potential buyers.
My 2c FWIW.
As someone who had run-ins with Nico - yes, he could be a little caustic. But there are alot of folks like that on here.
And yes, the two-ply fretboard thing did get REALLY silly.
But hey, if you like reliced guitars, then this thread is very cool. If you don't like 'em, then this thread is close to heresy, so maybe's that why folks get so annoyed.
As someone Nico called some nasty names, all I can say is I respect his skills.
PS. As an Admin on another forum, I can tell you that NO-ONE can ever really get banned.
If someone really wants to log on, they simply rejoin using a different IP address, and it is pretty difficult to trace. Nico will probably have already read this.....
Of course he has. He admitted to lurking at LPF after he was banned there, there's no reason to believe he's not doing the same here.
I would just like to know what color my shirt would be after playing this guitar.
It would be a reliced shirt.........
Wow....I nearly emailed him about that guitar, I was worried about shipping from the Honduras. Glad I didn't.
The relicing is fine, you either like it, tolerate it, pull your face or flatly disagree with it. If someone wishes to decieve their forum public. Can only be considered a low-life.. everything I credibly guess about this guy = fake; his guitars, Fender 'faux' Deluxe, his words...
The internet is full of every trick there is to decieve a potential buyer or mimic what you may percieve to be a real lost 'vintage' guitar. I do not consider 'relicing' a skill. It is a process available to create a effect. For instance anyone can rag paint a wall to create a different look as Italian plaster can mimic marble. A very little practice can make confidence brim. Cometh the 'Con'. Keep it for you or sell as a possible 'natural' it reeks someones familiar paw prints that '90s LP Standard.. I wonder who it could be...it escapes me!?!?!?
Remember rmeil: a hounded '59 owner who came here for help but instead got stalked by mr fake?
You got greedy man and you know it!
Take a good look at your ethics and please don't pass them onto your kin..
What the other guy did was a million times worse, in my opinion. He had an RO re-finished, and stamped with a serial number that fell within the Braz board numbers, and represented it, and sold it on ebay as such. That is a total scumbag move. He told the people refinishing it that the serial number had a special meaning to him, and that he was keeping the guitar, knowing damn well he was about to screw someone out of a whole lotta money. Pretty much the epitome of scumbag.
This is EXACTLY why I had a problem with him...Not his relicing even though I thought it was bullshit too.
Yeah that's true...He called me a backstabber for outing him in public on the LPF...He read every word...So be it. He earned it and I hope he learns from it but I doubt it...
Hi, Nico. I'm sure you're reading this thread. How do you feel about your fan club?
If I were to venture a guess, it'd be something like this:
I think he's just found another forum, and we'll hear about it soon
Right you are, nicudeemus1.
Google is great; just found him at the PRS forum. Looks like he's ruining his braz CU24 for the sake of making new friends. Brilliant.
Now hes reborn as a PRS lover, brilliant!
And a 'lacquer lover'...
Surely it will end up a 'Kiwi Burst'. These am the moni shot!!!!!
bookmarked prs thread
His last post there was may 25. Seems he hasn't posted there in a few months. The person who warned them necroposted, lol!
Does anyone remember when Alex played his April fools joke on the MLP and Nico had a fit fearing the worst?
