    Hi all,

Have the option to buy this:

    https://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/tokai-jap-les-paul-gold-top-bare-knuckle-p90s/1264547236

Have asked the seller to see if he can see a model number in the pup cavities but in the meantime he says that the s/n is 0712308. He says a 2007 MIJ import but I'd love to know the model number if anyone can help?

Looks like a 3 piece back to me so probably a lower end model right? Even with the BK pups, I'm thinking this one may be too expensive (even for the UK)?

    Any thoughts/comments gratefully received.

    Thanks,

    Dave

Could be a LS 75. I had one with humbuckers. Great guitar. Mine had a quite big neck and was in the 4,4-4,5 kg range. Not a bad price with the bareknuckles...

Thanks Free. He says he's selling it because it has a thinner neck than his other Tokais but he didn't elaborate the age/models of the other guitars. I prefer a beefier neck but have guitars with all different neck profiles and thicknesses so that doesn't really bother me. Been after a p90 GT for a long time so this could be the one!

If this is a 2007 LS75, how do you think it would stack up against its older MIJ siblings?

What I mean by this is construction methods, overall quality, playability etc?

Hmmmm, or maybe not. Seller has relisted the ad and added another £200 on the price (was £695, now £895).

A vintage MIJ is not much more than this in the UK.....

Ha! I asked him why he pulled and readvertised he said he's been told he was under pricing it. He immediately said he'd honour the original price though.....seems off to me and my spidey sense is jangling! As much as I want one of these, I think I'm gonna pass.

New UK price for one of these is kicking around @£1k... The p/u 'upgrade' will feed into his asking price, I'm sure.
