Up for sale here is a 1998 Stinger Texas Tornado '64 Deluxe Reverb amplifier. This is the 6V6 version. This circuit was a clone of a '64 Blackface DR, features one channel and very cool 3 knob Reverb featuring Dwell, Depth and Tone.

Sports 22w of pure tube power and tube driven reverb!

Total tube driven reverb is phenomenal and the amp sounds fantastic.

Features 1 x 12 Eminence speaker that compliments this amp perfectly.

Built by Robert Hudson was a well known amp builder in the late 90s early 2000s

Features vintage RCA 6V6 tubes and has been checked out recently and given a clean bill of health and has no issues.

This rare beast totally hand built / hand wired and one of the best DR clones I've had the pleasure of owning!

Only selling to fund a new purchase

$1500 USD net to me shipped

Stinger preceded Blues Pearl. I have BP version built around 2000 in a 2x10 format. In a room of vintage gear (1960 Bassman, brownface Deluxe and Vibrolux, Marshalls, 18w Blockhead, tweed Deluxe, tweed Bandmaster, etc etc) I can absolutely state the Texas Tornado is one of the best-sounding, most flexible amps I've ever heard or played.

Oddly enough... I was just telling someone this morning that if I had to grab a single amp to do everything, it would be the Texas Tornado. Here's a pic of mine, and the guitar party Al and I recently had with a room of gear. At the end, the Texas Tornado was one of the two or three amps we were going to.

I strongly urge someone to snag this amp. Look at my gear room and trust me: early Robert Hudson amps are usually awesome. My Texas Tornado certainly is.

    Is that dark green tolex?
I see the outline of the Stinger badge that used to be there.

Unbelievable this amp is still for sale!!

Just trying to help a brother out... Wasn't planning on sharing this publicly- but there's a Texas Tornado that needs a good home.... so here is a link to a sound clip.

    https://soundcloud.com/user-80093126/000404_0023mp3-splinter-timbuckers-texas-tornado

I'm trying different pickups in a LP and for this one I plugged straight into my Texas Tornado (2x10 version). I listen back to these things when I'm driving in my car so I can decide what I like best. I am *not* a guitar player... I'm a drummer who owns guitars... so just take this as a tone reference for Texas Tornados.

The TT's have really nice reverb, wonderful cleans and overdrive... all-around killer little amps. And they're very lightweight.

I'm guessing the 1x12" version of the Texas Tornado for sale here sounds similar... should be electronically identical.

    Good Luck With Sale!
